Paul began his construction career at the age of 15 with a full building apprenticeship in his native New Zealand. The apprenticeship is an all encompassing work education that covers virtually all aspects of building, from design to structural. Having completed it, Paul started his own construction business in Queenstown, New Zealand which he successfully ran for 10 years. Paul relocated his company to Los Angeles in 1986, and, in 1999, settled with his family in Bedford, New York.
With over 35 years of combined construction management and field experience to draw upon, Paul routinely completes projects on time and within budget while maintaining the highest degree of quality. Because Paul realizes that your project is a huge commitment, possibly the largest in your lifetime, he approaches every new challenge with meticulous attention to detail and an overriding concern with customer satisfaction. Paul’s experience and hands on education place him a cut above other builders in the area.
Having been a part of the community for so many years, Paul has developed valuable relationships with town building inspectors, town offices and historical societies, and works directly with them to secure permits, certifications, and whatever else may be necessary in order to seamlessly facilitate and deliver your project without unnecessary delay.
Paul is a perfectionist. He believes that no detail is too small or too insignificant to take the time to get absolutely right. He understands what your home means to you, and realizes that his success is directly attributable to the passion, expertise, and creativity of him and his team. Paul believes it takes a great team to build a great project. This explains why the vast majority of new clients are referrals from satisfied past clients.
Perhaps most importantly, just because your project is finished doesn’t mean our relationship is. Long after your project is completed, we will be there for you. Paul has long realized that, at the end of the day, nothing is more important than the quality of his work, his relationship with his clients, and, most importantly of all, the value of his reputation. The projects have grown in 35 years, but Paul’s core belief in integrity, hard work and quality has remained a constant.
“Paul’s knowledge of construction techniques is encyclopedic. He works well with architects. He is also more than capable of acting as his own designer and project manager. He is reliable, honest and conscientious. If he tells you a less expensive repair will suffice, you can be sure it will. He always performs impeccably without slipped schedules. he’s a rarity in his line of work.”M. Crichton,
